Research Officer, Cities, Environment and Climate Change

LSE Cities is seeking a Research Officer to undertake research within the centre’s research strand on Cities, Environment and Climate Change. The appointment will be for a fixed-term period until 31 December 2014, starting asap. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 6th November 2013 (17.30 GMT).

Candidates ideally should have a completed, or nearly completed, PhD in Environmental or Urban Studies or a related discipline with a strong focus on climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy efficiency, green economy, sustainable transport, urban resilience and/or smart city technology. A PhD is not required if the candidate has other research experience that demonstrates the capability to produce independent original research. Candidates must also have any necessary visa or work permit required to work in the UK already in place for the duration of the appointment.
