British-German Environment Forum: Energy policy for the 2050s

LSE Cities Executive Director Philipp Rode will be participating in the British-German Environment Forum on 8 March at Wilton Park.

The eighth British-German Environment Forum (BGEF) will explore a range of potential energy and climate policies and share lessons on a wide range of issues including energy efficiency, energy security, renewables and nuclear power.

Philipp Rode presents at Urban Architecture and Mobility Forum

On 5 March 2013, LSE Cities Executive Director Philipp Rode delivered a presentation on Integrative Urban Mobility: The role of automotives in cities of the future as part of the Urban Mobility Workshop at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology’s Urban Architecture and Mobility Forum at Siemens’ The Crystal in London.

Public lecture on Healthy African Cities

On Thursday 7th March 2013, our Healthy African Cities public lecture explored the future of urban health in Africa.

Austin Zeiderman and Suzi Hall debate Urban Controversies

On Wednesday 6th March 2013 LSE Cities research fellows Dr. Austin Zeiderman and Dr. Suzi Hall joined a debate, ‘Urban Controversies: How Controversies Shape Our Cities’, organised by Urban@LSE students. Based on multiple case studies, Dr. Austin Zeiderman, Juan Sebastian Lama, Gloria Morrison and Dr. Gareth Jones discussed how controversy is a productive force on the urban environment, shaping the political, social and material fabric of the city. The event was chaired by Dr. Suzi Hall and Amy Parker.
