LSE Cities’ Ricky Burdett spoke at The Economist’s ‘The Infrastructure Summit – Future Cities’, on Tuesday 29 October. The discussion ‘Comparing Strategic Plans: what should our cities be like?’ looked at visions for urban futures – balancing social, economic and environmental considerations in modern urban environments. Richard Sennett also contributed to the event panel ‘Achieving Urban Goals in Times of Austerity: Smart Cities’.
