The global book launch for Shaping Cities in an Urban Age took place at the 2018 International Architecture Biennale on 15 September 2018. Ricky Burdett, who edited the third and final instalment of the series, launched the book alongside contributors José Castillo and Jean-Louis Missika. Shelley McNamara, one the curators of the Biennale, joined them on stage. Based on a the 15-year Urban Age research programme, the book contains 37 essays by leading policy makers, practitioners and scholars, offering new perspectives on the dynamics of urban change.
