LSE Cities hosted the second workshop for RAMSES, a major European research project on cities and climate change adaptation. Representatives from all thirteen partner organisations attended, giving updates on progress over the first eight months of the project. RAMSES runs for five years until 2017.

Topics included initial findings on the focal case study cities of London, Antwerp and Rio de Janeiro. The meeting benefited from contributions from Alex Nickson, Strategy Manager for Climate Change Adaptation at the Greater London Authority and Professor Samuel Fankhauser from the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. The next RAMSES project meeting will be held in Antwerp in November and hosted by VITO.
