As his first UK building nears completion, acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma will speak about architecture and identity, exploring the relationship between place, building tradition and landscape.

Conflicts of an Urban Age will exhibit in Arup’s gallery space in London. First developed as a Special Project for the Venice Biennale, the exhibition highlights the spatial and social consequences of dramatic urban growth in cities across the world between 1990 and 2015, alongside a selection of inspirational solutions to urban change identified by Arup’s global staff.

Developing Urban Futures conference
The next Urban Age conference will take place in Addis Ababa on 29–30 November 2018. The conference will focus on the development of cities in rapidly urbanising countries.
