LSE Cities vacancy: Centre Manager

Fixed term until 31 December 2014

Salary: £26,580-£30,767 pa inclusive (pay award pending) with potential to progress to £33,102 per annum inclusive.

LSE Cities is an international research centre that studies how people and cities interact in a rapidly urbanising world. The Centre Manager takes responsibility for all related operational requirements of the centre and plays a crucial role in ensuring its smooth day-to-day running.

We are seeking applications from candidates with exceptional administrative, organisational and communication abilities that equip them to manage a dynamic and innovative research and outreach programme. The role demands the ability to work proactively and to build and maintain productive working relationships with a range of colleagues and external contacts, including high-level individuals and organisations from an international background. An important aspect of the role is to contribute to creating a comfortable working environment that ensures the well-being of centre staff. Additionally, candidates must be able to demonstrate strong people management skills, including a familiarity with a range of Human Resources procedures and processes, and excellent IT skills, in particular with Microsoft Office.
