Register to participate in the the next Urban Age Conference | 14-15 July 2016

The next Urban Age conference will take place at the 2016 Venice Biennale from 14-15 July 2016. The Urban Age ‘Shaping Cities’ conference will investigate how people, institutions, policymakers, investors and designers affect the physical form of cities, and how this impacts on the way we live in cities. It will expose the arguments behind the major conflicts on how cities are planned, governed and designed, and investigate the impact of large and small-scale solutions on urban integration. Building on its ten-year legacy as an international investigation of cities, the Urban Age conference will engage with the themes of land ownership, migration, tolerance and equity to inform and shape the debate on sustainable urban development at the United Nations’ Habitat III conference in October 2016.

Participation in Urban Age conferences is by invitation only and will include a tour of Report from Cities: conflicts of an urban age, a special project of Biennale Architettura 2016. Please register your interest at LSECiti.es/UAVenice. Urban Age Shaping Cities is jointly organised by LSE Cities at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Deutsche Bank’s Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft and co-hosted by La Biennale di Venezia and the United Nations’ Habitat lll.
